How to Use the DayZ Morse Code Translator

DayZ bunker radio transmissions use Morse code to communicate a sequence of digits. This DayZ Morse code decoder translates a complete message into coordinates and a keypad PIN, so you can focus on finding and accessing the bunker instead of decoding every signal by hand.

1. Listen to the DayZ bunker radio transmission

Listen to the complete Morse transmission on your in-game radio. Record each short signal as a dot (.) and each long signal as a dash (-). Start at the beginning of the message and keep the symbols in their original order.

2. Capture or enter the Morse code

In Capture Morse mode, tap the large button briefly for a dot or hold it for a dash. On desktop, you can also use the spacebar. The live DayZ Morse code preview groups every five symbols into a digit and highlights invalid patterns.

If you have already transcribed the radio message, select Type / Paste and enter the dots and dashes manually. Spaces and line breaks are optional.

3. Decode the bunker coordinates and PIN

A complete bunker message contains 50 Morse symbols, forming ten digits. The first three digits make Coordinate X, the next three make Coordinate Y, and the final four digits form the bunker keypad PIN. Use the decoded coordinates and PIN in your game.

4. Keep a history of decoded bunkers

When a complete message is captured successfully, its coordinates, PIN, and original Morse sequence are added to your bunker history. The latest result appears first. Copy the history if you want to keep the codes outside this page session.

Morse code digits used by the decoder

Each digit is represented by a five-symbol pattern. For example, .---- represents 1, ..--- represents 2, and ----- represents 0. The live preview translates each complete group automatically, helping you identify missed or incorrectly captured signals.

DayZ Morse Code Translator FAQ

How many Morse symbols are in a DayZ bunker message?

This decoder expects 50 symbols per bunker message: five symbols for each of ten digits. The first three digits represent Coordinate X, the next three represent Coordinate Y, and the last four make up the keypad PIN.

Can I use this DayZ Morse code decoder on my phone?

Yes. Tap the capture button briefly for a dot or press and hold for a dash. You can also enter a transcribed message manually using Type / Paste.

What should I do if the DayZ bunker code is invalid?

Check for a missed beep, an extra symbol, or a transmission that started or ended at the wrong point. Use Undo to remove the last captured symbol, then compare the live preview with the radio message. The decoder reports invalid patterns rather than guessing digits.

Does the translator save my bunker coordinates and PINs?

The decoder processes your input locally in your browser. Captured bunker history is kept in page memory and is not permanently saved by this tool. Copy your results before refreshing or leaving the page if you need to keep them.
